FLORIDA anyone? Need hints for beach, bikini contests...

Anybody can name me the best beaches for candid beach shooting (exept South Beach...) in Florida?

Anybody know places where bikini contest are held on a weekly basis?

I have always been partial to Daytona Beach Still a very popular place for spring breakers .. and events such as Bike Week and BikeTober Fest ... coming up soon. Daytona has several beach side parks over looking the beach and beach showers go some good shots from there. It is crowded there every weekend on up through Christmas ... and on week days as soon as classes let out from the local colleges ... lots of girls go to study and catch some rays. There is an attraction the the Atlantic side beaches for the surfer babes too ... bigger waves than the gulf side... unless there is a hurricane out in the gulf. Spent a weekend at Clearwater last summer and shot may 6 or 7 shots ... because it was deserted ... I could not believe how sparse it was for a weekend.

If you're up in the Panhandle area, Destin, Sandestin, Ft. Walton Beach are pretty good for candid shooting. In June you can't beat the Billy Bowlegs Festival for awesome candid shooting. It's like Mardi Gras in and on the water. Plenty of boats, beer, babes and boobs.

Check out some of the Cheerleading comptitions.. I am sure they will be just as good as beaches to shoot candids.

you can find some great catches at any florida beaches mate, go on the weekends.
i dont know of any place where they have bikini contests every week but here in fort myers, fl they have booty shake contests almost every weekend...

To make it clear: I will travel the long way from europe. So I have to be prepared LOL
Did my first beach candid last year and want to try more. I think I will go to Florida in May and/or June next year. I know it is a long time ahead... But I will plan my stays on your hints.

So because of this: If you know clubs, hotels I'am interested in names.

Two more question, you maybe can answer:
1. When there is a bikini contest in a club or hotel, can I feel free to take pictures during a contest?
2. Did anybody know the "Shooters" in Fort Lauderdale? I heard that there is every sunday a bikini contest.

Please be specific about what you want to shoot. Other than South Beach and Haulover, Florida beaches tend to be pretty conservative and pretty militant about guys with cameras. If you're looking for topless women at minimal physical risk, you'd do much better in Barcelona than you would even on South Beach. And if you're not already skilled at concealed camera beach work, don't even think about it. You'll get your ass beat, your camera thrown in the water and you'll be calling your embassy to recommend a good criminal lawyer. Costa del Sol, Ibiza or the Canary Islands all come to mind as better for beach work.

If you're looking for hot girls in nightclubs, go to Cancun during US universities' spring breaks in February and late March. Most places in the US have been active in discouraging spring-breakers and policing wild behavior. South Padre is probably the best place remaining.

About the best thing going in Florida, and it's exceedingly good, is Fantasy Fest. You will get more semi-naked to naked women during a week at Fantasy Fest than you would during an entire summer at beaches.

I don't want to rain on your parade but the realities of pervert photography in Florida in 2009-2010 are not what they were ten years ago. Many places have outlawed thongs and have cracked down on public displays of any type.

If you're committed to Florida, understand the geography. It's an 11-12 hour drive between Key West and places like Panama City on the panhandle. And ever since Joe Francis shat and stepped on it in Panama City, spring break there is very tame.

Finally, if you're thinking about the summer you need to understand the heat. South Florida in summer (May-Sept) is just bloody fucking hot. 95 degrees and 70-90% humidity. Really too hot for the beach.

I travel to Florida not for candid shooting. I will stay in Florida, and I thought I would get the chance to make some candid shooting as there are beaches.
I do not want to risk anything or get in trouble. So this was why I asked: Maybe somebody know a good place in Florida for candids.

This was also a reason why I asked for bikini contest, where it is allowed to make pictures.
Everybody tell me about Florida bikini contest, but I really need to know where they are. Anybody know a forum or website for date or announcements?
