Multiple file upload with Drag and Drop

To make TheCandidBoard more user friendly we now have a multiple file and folder uploader.

The familiar copy - paste (ctrl-C , ctrl-V) operations can be used

The progress monitor included with the applet makes it possible for our members to keep track of the progress as it happens.

In addition the ability to resume an interupted upload.

FAQ

Does theTCB Uploader work with windows 95/98/me/2000/XP/Vista ?

Yes it does. You need to have the Java Runtime Environment installed. the JRE is available for free from the java website. You need version 1.4.1 or higher. If you are using IE, Mozilla or Netscape you may find that the plug in is auto installed (if you permit it).

Can your applet be used on the Apple Macintosh?
Yes, it's fully compatible with the Safari and Firefox/Mozilla/Camino browsers on Mac OS X

Excellent work Satan and all the people behind the scenes that made this happen! The uploading seems to be running quite smoothly. I think the members are going to love it.

I personally think the ability to renew an interrupted upload is the best part...as that was always the thing that would upset me the most.

I used the new feature and it works just brilliantly. Fastest upload time for me ever (and that's even with files two times the size as before for me!!)

Pasted 25 pics in - All went through in less time than what it normally would take to get 10 to upload !

it works fast but when it's completed it refreshes and i can't upload (won't show up?) some is if someone could try to explain.... i would like to upload some pics..... java works fine..

Please give me the average size of the pictures you are uploading and how many it is so that I can do a test here at my end since I was not able to duplicate your problem.

Great job. Personally, I have much more pics to upload, but it was too hard for me to upload them. I had to try and try again and again, don't know why. Errors uploading everytime made me desist many times. This is just a great feature for all of us. You can copy and paste, and to for a beer to the fridge. When you come back, hop!!! There it is. Everything uploaded. I almost cry of joy. Thanks.
