Magnum, it was only about 95 degrees that day, which is fairly comfortable in the dry air. The writing was on the rock at the top of tghe stair tower. It was scattered throughout the park also. They are called petroglyphs. They are ancient indian artwork. The rock formation is natural, I'm pretty sure. It was outside the park on the ride back to Vegas, not far from the north side of Lake Mead. I think I tool about 100 pics that day. A lot look the same. These pics stood out in my opinion.

Interesting that they had an Indian back then named Johnny Joe who was gay....

GC, did you scan that pic with a fine toothed comb? I tried to post a pic without any graffiti. I didn't notice that. Pretty funny. There were a lot of scrapings by punks. There were signs posted asking people not to, of course you know people will. I think it's kind of like the guy who chipped a piece of the ear on one of the statues on Easter Island. The ruler wanted to take a piece of his ear as punsihment. Wait the punks who did this probably already have tattoos. Damn.......
