Perhaps some of U have been struggling with video converting problems.
Like let's say getting your video ready for this board.
Well the best program I've used is WinFF
It converts pretty much everything and it's free.
If your gonna use it here is some good "advanced" pointers to create hi-quality but at the sametime small sized videos.
First .. do some testing of your own with the program.. there are several preconfigured codecs U can use.
Never the less this program lacks the ability to convert to Divx. (there is msDivx but not Divxlabs DIVX....
So I created through testing my own codec settings
Or "presets" as in the program.
Here they are..( if u know how to add them)
For normal quality x-vid :
Code:-r 25.00 -vcodec xvid -maxrate 3000k -b 2500k -qmin 3 -qmax 5 -bufsize 4096 -mbd 2 -bf 2 -flags +4mv+trell -aic 2 -cmp 2 -subcmp 2 -g 300 -acodec mp3 -ar 48000 -ab 128k -ac 2 -vtag XVID
Low q xvid
For DIVXCode:-vcodec xvid -maxrate 1250k -b 900k -qmin 3 -qmax 5 -bufsize 4096 -mbd 2 -bf 2 -flags +4mv+trell -aic 2 -cmp 2 -subcmp 2 -g 300 -acodec mp3 -ar 48000 -ab 96k -ac 2 -vtag XVID
and for SUPER Q divxCode:-acodec mp3 -ar 48000 -ab 128k -vcodec mpeg4 -vb 3500k -qmin 3 -qmax 4 -bf 2 -f avi -vtag DIVX
These create pretty good resultsCode:-acodec mp3 -ar 48000 -ab 256k -vcodec mpeg4 -vb 8000k -qmin 1 -qmax 2 -bf 2 -f avi -vtag DIVX
there are many presets in the program itself and they are good also.
If U've ever wondered why U can't edit with virtualdub xvid video that have been created with WinFF (or downloaded from net)
it's because these xvid-videos don't have the -vtag XVID or -vtag DIVX code in them... that I figured on my own..
.. ask if U have any questions.![]()
