Great post, thanks for all the info.
I'm not sure how my Canon SD1100 is going to fare at this with the protruding lens and all, but I'm going to give it a try.
One cool thing I managed is to get some intervalometer software on there. With that I can press the shutter once and the camera will continue taking pictures continuously until i turn it off or it runs out of memory.
thanks for the technique, I will try to get one small camera soon too. Your Pics are incredible

Thanks for all the useful information. I was thinking of buying the new sony tx 100v but I am unsure if the new functions and 16 MP are really necessary. I might just opt for a tx 9...

I thought I would throw my 2 cents in. I ALWAYS shoot in video mode - think of it as this: You are taking 30 shots per second doing this and you can always screen capture later if you are after a particular pose. That way precious moments are caught and not up to your reflexes.

I will not say that you should be always on video mode. Depends on the situation.
But I agree that in a lot of situations a video would be better then try to make a photo.
With HD in nearly every camera, and some even with 1080p with 50 or 60 FPS, this is always an option, some really should think about!

Probably going to buy a TX10 after all but I'm looking for a leather case which fits...Iphone cases are probably too thin no ?

Once you have your camera, go and look at shops for cases. Take the camera with you and find the best case by trail and error in the shops.
Only that way you will have the best fitting.
very nice pics
