candid posters, why dont u comment onother peoples work

Ive just started to notice that people that post the pics do not comment on other peoples pics nearly as often as they should.

we have been lately having a go at lurkers and people not posting comments, but we have long term posters of candid shots not posting comments either.

The one thing that gets me annoyed is when they post candid shots and in there message, please comment on my pics please aaaaahhhhh. but they hardly post comments on other peoples work.

that really annoys me, got it of my chest now.

I post on the threads that I really like some topics and categories I done care for and don't usually visit. But I usually am posting comments more than content here lately ... been under the weather ... today was my day off and I spent it sick in bed with a jaw swollen the size of tennis ball. It was a beautiful sunny day here and excellent day for the beach ... sigh

There are some pic/vid contributors who post excellent work but never comment on others. Fine by me, as long as you are doing something. I only really have a problem with the lurkers, who are just parasites on our community.

The ones who beg for comments usually have the blurry-taken-from-10-miles-away-ass-shots. To them I say, give me something good and I'll comment.

there seems to be a good amount of comments from a lot of posters
I know that there are quit a few regulars that comment in almost every thread I post
and I also comment always when its something I like sometimes when it stinks
and occasionally in some forums that I dont frequent much

also I think as I stated in one of my earlier post here
that it seems that a lot more lurkers are starting to post here
not only comment but post and you look at the date they joined and it like jan 2005 or something and there post count is 15
so there is a reason that they not only commenting but begining to post ix as well
and some of the pic post have been very very good
I think we all know why that is for the most part
the board is moving towards elite memberships where you need to participate and now some are posting and they will get hooked just as I am
so to all lurkers turned commenter turned pic posters

If you look at the threads carefullly there are a bunch of names that are constantly commenting I would name a few but
Im sure I would forget somone and dont want to offend (and you are one of them I see you commenting all the time)
but they know who they are and us posters know who they are

scratchyjase - in answer to your question - I only get a limeted time each week to post/comment - the forums in which I do are also limited because of that.

I will always comment in threads that I have viewed, if i have the time to do so, but admittedly, I kinda don't sometimes when the subject matter is not to my taste - i'd rather leave a positive comment than a *UGGH - I can't stand looking at beached whales* type comment. (GC, I'm looking at you - lol)

I think that most of the contributers here probably have the same time restrictions as i do(?) and limit their comments to threads that grab them. (I may be dead wrong there)

I am in total agreement with Ambusher's comments about contribution. The argument being that, lurkers not commenting takes away much more from the site than contributers not commenting - end of story.

and, yeah - I hate lurkers, even although I was one myself.

Yeah I think I am gonna start posting a Plumpy Disclaimer in the Title of my posts from now on. Something like Contents Posted Herewithin May Contain Curvy Plump Women, If the Sight Of Which Makes You Ill Do Not View This Thread!!! hmmm not enough space in title for that.

I post comments as I would like comments myself. Whatever thread I view I usually leave a comment. i hate it when I check my own posts and see that the pix have been viewed at least 50 times and I only end up with 2 comments. One of my pet peeves

Oh thats easy Dizzy when you open a forum and choose a thread to view ... before you open it just move your mouse over the name of the person that last posted a comment...
