Well said, and not before time.

The majority come here to share and view good quality photography. Every now and then that enjoyment is spoiled by a small but vociferous minority, almost invariably of the non-contributing variety.

Flame wars never achieve anything and just put genuine people off contributing.

Don't worry about Nazi jibes or complaints about free speech. The people likely to write that sort of thing are the same crowd who will find theselves outside this community in any case.

No web forum or newsgroup I have ever subsribed to has been successful without a set of rules by which everybody abides. Those that don't eventually fill with spam and the useful contributors go elsewhere.

Just one plea - it's not retrospective is it? I mean, I can't be sure I've never made a suggestive comment about a subject.....maybe I should go back through all my posts....oh dear!
