I think it will not help you for real. Take a sample:
Photography of bridges and other infastructur. It think that can cause trouble. While no one will be bothered when you take pictures of the Brooklyn Bridge, as 1000 of tourists do that every day, it is not said that you may look suspicious to a law enforcement officer, and he want to talk to you.

To be on the right side is one point. If someone thinks it is suspicious what you picture, they will talk to you. And a piece of paper, dated 2004, will not help.
I think they will not look at your pictures, as they must have a proper cause to think that it is criminal what you done, but they will stop you. Check you out. Talk to you. I think this already is the non-fun part.

I will tell you a sample:
You may shot a beautiful blonde with the shortes skirt you saw in a long time. But in the background is a federal building. On the morning of that say, the guards got an alert, that the building may be attacked in the near future.
You shot that blonde, and maybe you didn't even notice what was in the background. For you, it just was a building.
But the guard didn't see the blonde. He see a guy with a DSLR and a 200mm, those DSLR become more common, but still is something you notice between all the tiny compact cameras) that is shooting series of pictures of the building he had to protect.
Okay, it was not the building, but the girl. But he don't know that.
Maybe you act suspicious. Look around, because you are afraif of the hubby of that blonde, who was with her a few moments ago.
You see which scenario I try to create?

Sure: You are not a criminal. You do nothing wrong. But maybe you have to answer questions. So be careful out there!
